Pia Wurtzbach ends social media silence following sibling issue

Fans were happy to see former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach active on Instagram again more than a week after her sister’s controversial online rant against her.

On Monday, the beauty queen shared photos from her stay in a Batangas resort. It’s her first IG post since her only sibling Sarah Wurtzbach criticized her and their mother in strongly-worded IG stories that were eventually deleted but not before they went viral. “Memories from @ybonitafarm,” Pia wrote in her latest post, suggesting that these were throwback photos.

Nevertheless, netizens were quick to welcome her return to social media.

“Hoping you’re okay na, my Queen. Sending love from one of your biggest fans,” one comment read.

“So finally to hear from you Queen… we missed you,” another wrote.

According to reports, the siblings have since privately worked out their differences after the feud grabbed headlines.

Sarah herself responded to a question to The STAR via an Instagram direct message with a simple confirmation “bati na po kami” and wouldn’t comment any further.

Pia has maintained her silence on the issue with her camp only saying that it was “away pamilya, no statement, let us just respect their privacy.”

According to sources, Pia is back in the UK and should have reunited by now with boyfriend Jeremy Jauncey and her family there in London.

She first flew to the UK last July as soon as travel restrictions were eased. She is expected to return to Manila briefly in November to fulfill some work responsibilities.
