On Women’s Month, Yassi Pressman paid special attention to the women persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the Quezon City Female Dormitory.

The actress who spent an afternoon with over 600 women PDLs, or those who are still undergoing trial, also donated shampoo and conditioner at their dormitory.

Non-governmental organization (NGO) Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran (Spark!) highlighted on their social media the moments from Yassi’s mission work.

“We are so honored to be alongside an advocate who is so willing to give of her time and so much of herself for her fellow women. Thank you Ms @yassipressman for your grace, generosity and compassion for this mission work,” they wrote.

Their turnover program for the hygiene kits and makeup were attended by JSupt. Maria Ignacia Monteron, Spark! Executive Director Maica Taves, and Janete Oviedo from the City of the Mayor.

Yassi’s work is part of their ‘No Woman Left Behind Program’ “where PDLs are given access to healthcare, education with the help of the Alternative Learning System, and livelihood training.”
