Bannon served four months in a federal prison in Connecticut for defying a subpoena to appear before Congress to testify as part of its investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

His scheduled released was announced by the Bureau of Prisons. The 70-year-old Bannon was set to resume his WarRoom podcast Tuesday morning, according to The Associated Press. He has also scheduled a 3 p.m. news conference in New York City.
