Luis Manzano willing to receive any COVID vaccine OK’ed by doctors

Luis Manzano said he’s willing to go for any COVID-19 vaccine brand as long as it’s recommended by the medical experts.

“Basta ako, whether it be Pfizer, Moderna or Sinovac, basta basically all brands, pinapakinggan ko kung ano ang sasabihin ng doctor ko kung anong pinaka-OK para sa akin,” he said in a Facebook Live on Saturday, January 16.

One thing’s for sure, the TV host-actor is pro-vaccine.

“Do I believe in COVID vaccine? Yes! Naniniwala ako sa mga vaccine,” he said.

“Kumbaga, vaxxer akong tao. Bakunado din ako, lahat-lahat.”

He said while it’s easy to read about vaccines from different sources, it is the medical experts who know the details. That’s why he will listen to what doctors say when it comes to his eventual choice of vaccine.

“Ang sa akin, papakinggan ko kung ano ang sasabihin ng doctor ko kung anong brand ang pinakamaganda.

“Syempre, ako mismo, dahil hindi ko naman napag-aralan ‘yan, di ko naman alam, kumbaga ang mga detalye ng isang vaccine.

“Basta sa akin, ang papakinggan ko kung anong sasabihin ng doctor ko.”

Luis is the latest celeb to weigh in on the vaccine issue. Earlier, veteran comedian and Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon also believed that any vaccine brand is safe to use as long as it has the approval of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The COVID vaccine is one of the hottest issues in the country today following news about the government’s free vaccine deployment plan.

A recent Pulse Asia survey also found that 47 percent of Filipinos are not willing to be inoculated against COVID-19, as opposed to the 32 who said they would receive a vaccine. 84 percent of those not willing to be vaccinated said they were concerned about vaccine safety.
